Il 2009 è stato un anno magnifico per i Twelves. Il duo brasiliano, il cui nome deriva dalla comune data di nascita (il 12 giugno), si sono imposti durante quest'ultimo anno grazie ad un’intensa e prolifica attività di remixer, che in breve tempo ha conquistato l'attenzione e l'apprezzamento di tutti i più importanti blog.
In regalo un mix fresco, che spazia tra funky, disco ed indie.

THE SHOES & PRIMARY 1

Partiamo da una confessione, io amo i The Shoes. Questo duo francese electro pop, mi ha fatto innamorare come un adolescente. Insomma un amore francese, un amore per Reims. Tutto facile se si pensa che questi produttori da strapazzo vanno in giro a braccetto da una parte con Yuksek e dall'altra con Mr Brodinski. Affermare che abbiano "solo" lasciato il segno durante quest'anno è forse riduttivo, bensì molto ma molto di più, hanno sfornato remix da battaglia per Santigold, Late Of The Pier, The Virgins, Mystery Jets e solo per citarne alcuni.

Il loro nuovo Ep “People Movin” verrà alla luce il 9 Novembre con il contributo prezioso di un' altra grande rivelazione Primary 1. Se poi a tutto questo aggiungo che il loro singolo viene remixato da uno dei più talentuosi produttori tedeschi, Sirusmo, allora...

chiudo gli occhi, deglutisco e incomincio ad abituarmi all'idea che sia tutto vero.

YELLE - LA MUSIQUE

Due anni dopo il successo di A Cause The Garcons , torna la francese Yelle con il nuovo Ep "La Musique". Il primo nostro commento è: finalmente! Il nostro secondo commento è: benissimo! Non abbiamo mai nascosto la nostra passione pop per la francesina, soprattutto ben consci che il vuoto che ha lasciato in due anni di inattività non è stato colmato da nessuno. Nessuna nuova Yelle, nemmeno all'orizzonte. E allora ben tornata, ma rimaniamo in attesa del nuovo album (prodotto da Siriusmo).

KITSUNE MAISON

E ancora una volta la celebre Kitsuné Maison ci mostra la direzione, la strada che l'indie dance sta compiendo, i suoi suoni, le sue influenze. Ancora una pietra miliare, ancora una compilation di musica fighettina che entusiasma come pochi, un pò di suoni originali in salsa pop.
